Walt has opinions.
This wasn’t originally a problem. Then somebody gave him a website.
He’s old enough to remember when buying something meant you owned it, instructions came with the thing you bought, and calling customer service generally resulted in speaking to a human being.
He isn’t against progress. He’d just like somebody to explain why progress now requires three subscriptions, two apps, an account, a verification code, and permission to send notifications.
Don’t let the hair, dark glasses, questionable socks or permanent expression of disappointment fool you. Walt pays attention. He reads the fine print. He notices when the explanation doesn’t match the evidence, and he has an unfortunate habit of asking the question everyone else seems to have agreed not to ask.
Sometimes he’s right. Sometimes he’s spectacularly wrong. Occasionally he’ll even admit which one happened.
Walt doesn’t go looking for things to be grouchy about.
Things keep arriving at his desk.
